I am excited to share with you Suzie with Project: Party Perfect and her DIY Photo Plaque project!
DIY Photo Plaque
Create a DIY gift that's both easy and inexpensive for someone special! I made this Photo Plaque for my husband for Father's Day and he loved it for his office. I took the picture via Instagram and added a beautiful quote using PicMonkey (a great, FREE editing site if you're not familiar with Photoshop, like me).

Wooden Plaque any size (got mine at Michaels)

Photo (smaller than the plaque)...I printed on glossy paper at Walgreens, but you can print on cardstock at home

Mod Podge

Acrylic Paint

2 Sponge Brushes (1 for the paint/1 for the Mod Podge)

Step One

Measure and trim your photo (if necessary) but don't worry if it's not perfect. Paint your wooden plaque and let it dry.

Step Two

Apply Mod Podge to the center of the plaque and place your photo on top. Make sure to smooth out any bubbles before applying a coat over the photo. Wait about 20 mins before applying a second coat. I applied a total of 3 coats.

Step Three

Since one side wasn't cut perfectly, I used sandpaper to smooth out the edges on both sides, to match. The sandpaper scraped some paint off so I had to repaint those areas.

All the little imperfections made this project...Perfect!
