With the weather slowly cooling down, I am getting excited for my favorite time of the year! I am just waiting for the moment when it gets cool enough to bring out those sweaters and fall boots but with 90 degree days, I will have to settle for fall baking instead! Ok, I know I am not the only one who waits for the fall and holiday M & M's flavors to come out. When I saw the white chocolate candy corn M & M's, I knew I had to make my fall snack mix to celebrate that fall is just around the corner!
This is probably one of my most easy recipes ever yet it's always a big hit ! I am a huge sweet and salty girl and this snack totally hits the spot. I love making up a big batch and gifting the snack to my friends.
For this Fall Snack Recipe you will need the following:
1 package of butter popcorn
1 package of White Chocolate Almond Bark
1 cup of pretzels
1 cup of salted peanuts
1 bag of fall M&M's ( I like candy corn myself)
First you will need to cook your popcorn as instructed and pour it into a big mixing bowl. Melt your almond bark and combine with your popcorn and mix together well. I then start adding my pretzel pieces and salted peanuts. I save my M&M's for last so the heat from the popcorn and almond bark doesn't totally melt the chocolate. After you combine all your ingredients, you will need take a piece of wax paper and cover the top of your bowl so the chocolate can harden and it will be ready to serve. There is no wrong or right way to create this fall mix, it is all about your preference. Now because there is a lot of chocolate involved in this recipe, you are going to need to wash it down with a yummy drink. Apple cider is the perfect fall drink to pair up with the snack mix. I like to use Mott's Apple Juice. I add a little twist to just plain apple cider, I add a little cinnamon and vanilla into my apple cider and it is totally divine, trust me!
