Hey Thuy DIY: Happy Home Fabric Blog Hop with Sew Caroline

A few weeks ago my friend Caroline of Sew Caroline asked me to join in on a blog hop showcasing her new fabric line with Art Gallery Fabrics called Happy Home and let me tell you, it is extremely swoon worthy! Her Happy Home line is whimsical, cheerful, and just plain happy. It was hard to decide what fun project I wanted to created first using the new line and then I thought it would be adorable as a jewelry holder.

I picked up this adorable frame from Hobby Lobby for less than $15.00 and I knew it would go perfectly with fabric choices. I also picked up some fun knobs in the scrapbook section to use as hooks.

To start, I took apart the frame and removed the glass. I would recommend saving the glass to use for the future if you decide to change it up and use it as a frame or shadow box. I then laid my fabric over it and pulling each end tightly before closing the frame. For this type of frame, I would recommend only using the back piece and not the piece in the middle for extra strength.

After you have your fabric secured in your frame, then it's time to use fabric glue or a hot glue gun to adhere your knobs. Keep in mind the type of jewelry you will be hanging from your holder and the weight of the items to determined how much adhesive needs to be used to make sure it stays in place.

I just love how this project turned out and the fabric choice was perfect and vibrant. I can't wait to get this hung in my new home!
