Weekend in Las Vegas

This past weekend, the Mister and I hopped on a plane for a little getaway to Vegas and this also was his first time to visit and I was really excited for him to experience the city. We were only going to be there for a few days so we kept a pretty light schedule and did not make any plans except to explore and eat all the things. After we checked into our hotel, we decide to explore the streets and the various casinos.

Our first stop was the Bellagio to check out their Conservatory and Botanical Garden and the display did not disappointment. If you are in the area, I would highly recommend you check it out.

After the Bellagio, we headed over to The Cosmopolitan to grab a sweet treat from Milk Bar.  I decided to get the Fruity Cereal Milk with sprinkles and it was delicious! For dinner that evening, we decided to take a Taxi over to Rio to try their Seafood buffet that everyone had recommended. The Mister and I love seafood so an all you can eat buffet was the worth trip.  A little side note while in Vegas, if you don't have plans to rent a car, using a Taxi will be more convenient but will be more costly. Using Uber would be cheaper but we decided to use a Taxi the times we needed transportation.

On day two, we checked out the Flamingo casino and explored their Wildlife Habitat which was so pretty and I love seeing all the adorable flamingos.

For lunch, we met up with our cousins who live in Las Vegas and ate at Jaburritos. If you have never been there, it's a must! It's nothing fancy and it's  but the sushi bowl and burritos are delicious! It's such a cool spin on Japanese and Mexican and it is located at the LINQ casino.

For dessert, we headed to Amorino for European gelato that is shaped into a flower and it was so good. They also sold little macaroons you add on top of your gelato.

The LINQ casino is also where the High Roller is located which is the world's highest observation wheel. This is also where you can grab more of a causal bite to eat like In-N-Out, Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips and Sprinkles cupcakes. We also did a good amount of shopping at the Fashion Show Mall which is a huge shopping mall with several of the popular stores but we also enjoy shopping at Ceasar's with more of the high end shops.

On Sunday, we grab brunched at Mon Ami Gabi and it was delicious. I don't think there was a single crumb left on my plate and the patio dining is the best spot to eat while enjoying the weather and atmosphere.

I have to share this black Maxi dress from Sashy Pants that I wore during our trip because it was most comfortable dress ever and super flattering. It also comes in a Berry color which is also stunning!

My last dessert of our trip was the yummiest milkshake from Holsteins that is located in The Cosmopolitan and this is called the Fat Boy. It was filled with a chocolate covered pretzel, a lollipop, cotton candy and these yummy mini candies around the rim. It was worth all the calories!

All and all, we had a great time in Las Vegas but we were excited to get back to our boys. There were several other places we wanted to try like Eggslut, Nobu, Yard House and Lotus of Siam which is located off the strip but we ran out of time however I think that is a great excuse to plan another weekend trip for us in the near future. If you have any Vegas recommendations, we would love to hear them in the comments below!
