Laundry Room Mini Refresh

Ok, let me start this blog post with a couple of wallpapers together can literally survive anything because man, it wasn’t as easy as thought it would be and I have to say that the Mister definitely did most of the work because who are we kidding, he is the talented one when it comes to home projects! If you caught my stories a few weeks ago then you know that I was working on organizing my little laundry room and giving it a little refresh on a very small budget. I was not looking to do anything drastic or do any kind of demo but I just wanted to organize what we normally store in our laundry room and also give it a little bit more character. I have some before and after photos to share and as you can see, I kept it pretty simple yet I love how it turned out!

Before | After

Our laundry room is connected to our Master room closet which is so convenient but at the same time, doesn’t leave me much space to work with or really add anything extra to the space since it is so small so i decided to work with that I had and thought wallpaper was the best solution to give it some character yet still stay on a small budget. I decided on the Peel and Stick wallpaper from Target in a black and white buffalo check and I LOVE it so much! It is simple yet makes a statement and can we styled so many different ways. I ended using three tubes of wallpaper to full cover the one wall in my laundry room and one suggestion I would say is definitely precut the wallpaper before hand and have it laid out the way you plan to put it up and it will make it so much easier because you can easily mess up the pattern by not laying it correctly.

The next problem area was organizing and just getting rid of junk. Our laundry room tends to be the area where we put things when we don’t know where else to put it so I am happy now to see the cabinets are nicely organized and I was able to get rid of so much unneeded items. I got this set of drawer organizers from Amazon and they were so affordable.

The next thing I add that made it look so much more organized was putting all the items on the counter in a cute basket and it looks so much better and I still have room to add more items if I need to. I got this basket at Ross and I could not believe it was only $9.99 because it such a great size.

Next up was trying to organize all my essential oil products and having it make sense and I think I totally nailed it! I found most of my bins at Homegoods for a great price but I love using nail polish holders to organize my overstock of oils so I can see exactly what I have on hand.

I definitely have to say my most favorite thing about my laundry room is my oil rack. I purchased a clear nail polish rack on amazon and it fits and displays my oils so perfectly and I love it against the new wallpaper as well.

Last but not least is my new rug that I think is just the perfect touch of color for this space. I normally tend to lean towards a more neutral color but I thought with all the black and white that I needed a fun rug and I love this one I found for only $24.99 plus it fits this space perfectly!

There you have it! My laundry Room Mini Refresh that was literally under $200.00 and the most expensive thing of this project was probably wallpaper because it was close to $100.00 for three rolls but I am just so happy with this space now and hopefully it will make me love doing laundry more but yeah, probably not!
