Breast Cancer Awareness with Woodland Hills Mall

IMG_6680.JPG

I am excited to partner with Woodland Hills Mall this month to celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness Month and focus on some of our own amazing local survivors. Each Sunday this month, Woodland Hills Mall is teaming up with local breast cancer organization to highlight what they are doing to help spread awareness. A local survivor from the organization will share her personal story and be treated to a day of fun and fashion! I had the opportunity to spend a enjoyable afternoon with Karin Davis who is a 4 year survivor, a wife and local educator with a love for fashion. She is also a dedicated volunteer with Susan G. Komen.

Let’s get dolled up with Dillard’s Beauty

We started our day at the Bobby Brown counter at Dillard’s . Cindy, our makeup artist, did an amazing job giving Karin a beautiful, yet natural look with just a pop of color with a fun lip.

Fall Fashion with Chico’s

Our next stop was to Chico’s to try on some fashionable fall outfits! The talented ladies at Chico’s had several different looks set out for Karin, so it was fun to a do a little mini fashion show in the fitting room. Karin has such a amazing personality and loves a good pop of color! It was fun to help Karin piece together some different looks and accessorize with some trendy earrings and statement necklaces.

Susan G. Komen

Karin has been a part of The Susan G. Komen for the several years through Race For The Cure. She has formed teams with friends and students to participate in the walk. The money raised in the walk goes towards breast cancer research. Susan G. Komen’s mission is to save lives by meeting the most critical needs in our communities and investing in breakthrough research to prevent and cure breast cancer. Karin is committed to their mission and through her journey, she’s an inspiration to many! ( Including me! )

It has truly been an honor for me to get to spend a day with Karin but mostly to be able to share her story with you today and raise awareness for such an important cause.

Thank you for Woodland Hills Mall for sponsoring this post.
