Our Weekend Trip to Carlton Landing

A few weeks ago, the family and I had the opportunity to spend the weekend at Carlton Landing. If you are unfamiliar with Carlton Landing, it is a new community located on Lake Eufaula. Carlton Landing is an adorable community that was created off the vision and charm of Seaside, Florida. Here you will have the adorable and very urban cottages and a community like you have never seen before.

We spent out weekend in this adorable little cottage townhouse. It was the perfect space for our family of four that came equipped with a kitchen and an adorable upstair loft for the boys. We were also welcomed with a Made in Oklahoma gift basket with all sorts of local goodies.

We arrived Friday evening just in time for the weekly community dinner. I was looking forward to this time to get a chance to try out the delicious cooking of Chef Joshua Valentine and to meet some of the residents that live in the community. Outside of the Oklahoma heat, the food was delicious! Chef Joshua served wild boar skewers, chicken skewers, piri piri sauce, a summer squash salad, and roasted potatoes with charred onion mayo. I honestly had to go a second because it was that good.

Carlton Landing offers several different amenities including a pool, paddle boards, and kayaks. They also have their own farm located right in the center of the community were your food is grown and then served fresh to you. It's an amazing concept.

We spent our Saturday on the lake with some friends of ours that live in Carlton Landing and the boys had such a great time!

Carlton Landing is the perfect getaway that isn't far from home and if you are looking for a weekend getaway, I highly recommend trying this lovely resort out. I just love the community that Carlton Landing has and I promise that by the end of your stay, you will have gotten to know the locals better than your own neighbors. We can't wait for our next visit to Carlton Landing and I may have mention to the Mister that there were several homes for sell too! I mean, I could totally live here!
