3 Ways To Style a Black Maxi
Hi friends! I am so thrilled to partner with a few other of my blogger girlfriends today to share several different ways to style a black maxi! A black maxi is probably something that most people have in their closets as they are easy to wear and are so comfortable but sometimes we get in a rut on different ways to wear our black maxi so I am excited to share with you three different ways to style the black maxi today and be sure to check out m Instagram Stories as I talk through all of these three looks and be sure to check out my other three girlfriends ( Skye, Ryanne and Caroline ) and see how they styled their black maxi too!
This is the black maxi I will be styling today. It is a simple black maxi with pockets and unfortunately is no longer available however, I did link some similar ones at the end of my blog post in case you were in the market for a new maxi.
Look #1:
My first look is probably one of my most favorite and easiest look for my black maxi. I love pairing my military vest over my black maxi for a more put together look in the summer. Most of the time even in the summer, I am frequently cold when we go out to eat, etc and it is nice to have a little extra layer to keep me warm and if it gets too hot, I can easily take it off. You will also noticed that I knotted the bottom of my maxi dress in all my looks to shorten it up a tad and give it a different look.
Look # 2:
My second look screams beach or vacay! I love pairing my black maxi dress with a good chambray top and a straw hat. For this look, I simply took a chambray top I already owned and knotted it on the bottom and paired it with a summer hat for a easy look for a day out with the family or dinner on the beach as it can get breezy and cold.
Look # 3:
My last look is perfect for date night or girl’s night and the best part is that you will be extra comfortable! I simply took my beloved white blazer and paired it with some black block heels for a more dressed up look. I really love how versatile a simple black maxi dress is and it can really be as causal or as dressy as you want it to me!
