TODAY, people TODAY is one of my most favorite days of the year! It's finally the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and I can't wait to share with you all of my absolute favorite picks from the sale this year! If you are unfamiliar with this sale, let me give you the lowdown friend. It's a sale that only happens ONE time a year where they mark down their NEW fall favorites at awesome prices. It's a great way to get a jumpstart on your fall wardrobe for a fraction of the cost. Unfortunately, in the great state of Oklahoma where I live, there isn't a Nordstrom close by so I will be shopping strictly online however, the plus side to that is Nordstrom offers easy returns and FREE SHIPPING always and if you have a Nordstrom Rack close by, you can return your items there with no problem at all.

Cost Plus World Market Grand Opening

f you haven't heard already, Cost Plus World Market is having their grand opening this week! When I first heard of the store opening in Tulsa, I was so excited and I could not wait for it officially opened and now the time is here. If you are unfamiliar with Cost Plus World Market then you will be in for a treat because they carry such a variety of items from home decor to the coolest kitchen items. Over the weekend, I headed to check out the new store and I wanted to share some of my favorite items I found.

Hey Thuy: Day Date with Old Urban Trolley

A few weeks ago, the Mister and I had a day date on the Old Urban Trolley and we had the best time. If you have never heard of the Old Urban Trolley, it is exactly like it sounds. It's a trolley that takes you on a tour of downtown Tulsa and gives you all the history of Tulsa and the downtown buildings.

I Joined Weight Watchers, Um What?!

So if you follow along with me via Instagram ( @heythuydotcom ) then you know I finally had to get my hair officially balayage because gray hairs. Yup, it's true folks. I suddenly will hit my mid thirties in a few months and all of a sudden, things change like getting shiny gray hairs and don't get me started on how carbs are instantly attracted to me even when I just say no, what the heck?! Last week along with one of my co-workers, I decided to join Weight Watchers online.

Why I Decided To Give My Blog A New Look

As you may have noticed, my blog just got a new look and I couldn't be more excited! Just like anything else, as time evolves we as people change and I felt like my blog no longer matched my personality or the direction I was working towards so I reached out to Rachel of Intentionally Designed who created my website and she took all my thoughts and created a website that I am completely in love with. I have known Rachel for quite some time and I am always amaze how patient and how she is always so helpful and thoughtful with her words. If you are looking for someone to help you design your blog/website, I highly recommend Rachel!

36 Degrees North Blogger Panel Event

Whew, I survived! Last night I join three other amazing bloggers for a Blogger Panel event hosted by 36 Degrees North. If you are unfamiliar of 36 Degrees North, it is Tulsa's Basecamp for Entrepreneurs, community resources and startup programs. I am so thrilled to see 36 Degrees North help build our community through various workshops and events. It was a packed house last night with over 125 people that RSVP to attend. We each had an opportunity to share a little background on how we started our blog, how we make money from blogging and brand collaborations. It was so great to meet and chat with so many entrepreneur that are right here in Tulsa and that have some really great ideas on building their blog and brand.

My New Favorite Jean Shorts

Can I get some praise hands but this mama of two FINALLY found a pair of jean shorts that I feel like are stylish and that I would actually leave the house in. I am normally not a big fan of shorts in general but I wanted to find a pair of jean shorts to wear this summer and plus I knew they would be a perfect piece for our beach vacation later on this summer. I got these Cuffed Boyfriend Denim shorts from Old Navy and I actually sized down for a better fit plus they are under $20.00! They are super stretchy, fit well and have the perfect distressed look.I also found a few fun tops, a midi dress and a new swimsuit which were all on sale too!

Our Earth Day Adventures

A few weeks ago, I took the boys to Grogg's Green Barn to celebrate Earth Day. The boys had never been there before and I wanted to show them more about planting and how important nature and taking care of the Earth is. We learned about various plants and their purposes and we also learned about hydroponics.
